SHADOW

Shadow is approximately 1 year and 9 months old and weighs about 43 pounds.  She is a snow white Husky mix who is extremely patient, devoted and strikingly beautiful.  Shadow is the more docile of the pair and tends to be somewhat timid of strangers.  We imagine her unknown past contributes to this.  Our vet thinks Shadow was kept for breeding purposes, hence her first litter at barely 12 months old.  Despite her young age, looking into her eyes tells you that she is an old soul with a quiet and pensive demeanor.

She has the most beautiful eyes that we liken to Elizabeth Taylor's violet.  In fact, we joke that she needs sunglasses because her fair eyes seem sensitive to the sun.  She loves being walked but often gets too excited and tends to pull.  We've been working with the trainer on this.  She is totally content asleep at your feet.  Her sweet spot is her tummy.  She is extremely smart and quick to learn.  She eagerly hops into her crate at night and sleeps until we get up (7-7:30am).
She prefers to be indoors, especially with these hotter summer months but most of all, she loves being around Jack.  She adores car rides and enjoys the view from the back seat.  She has visited the White Rock dog park several times and gets along well with other dogs.  A favorite pastime is chewing bones, especially if it's one of Jack's that she nabbed when he wasn't paying attention.  Additionally, she seldom barks.

We have two elderly cats that we have kept separated from both of the dogs.  With proper training, Shadow and Jack may be able to live in a cat friendly home.
